Article: Treatment of Workless Denounced as Cowardly

“More clearly than ever it was now to be seen, Mr Walkden continued, that economic situation lay in Socialist reconstruction and the reorganisation of industry as a public service.

Yet reactionary Governments and reactionary employers continued to resist the plain logic of present day economic conditions.

They had the sorry spectacle at the International Labour Conference at Geneva this summer of Governments and employers fighting to prevent the introduction of a general 40-hour week.

In its treatment of the unemployed, the present Government had gone from bad to worse.

Not content with reducing unemployment benefit and the period for which it was payable, and the imposition of its iniquitous Means Test, the Government had now launched a cowardly and mean attack through the National Health and Contributory Pensions Act 1932.

Under the operation of this measure about 80,000 unemployed workers had already lost their insurance rights, and would shortly lose pension rights as well. It was only too certain that as time went on  the numbers penalised would increase.

In addition there were vast numbers of working people who would lose some part of their insurance benefits because being unemployed, they were running into arrears.

Actuarial considerations ought not to be made the pretext for the penalisation of their unfortunate fellow citizens. In any case, the Churchill Economy Act of 1926 robbed the fund of about £2,750,000 a year - a sum more than enough to preserve the insurance rights of the unemployed.

Touching on the Disarmament Conference, Mr Walkden said that as trade unionists they had watched with growing dismay the slow progress made.

They all would pay their tribute in the work of the President, Mr Arthur Henderson, and would earnestly hope the labours of the Conference would be brought to a conclusion this year by the acceptance of the draft convention placed before it.

But even while the Conference was trying to rid the world of the burden of armaments, the militarist spirit was growing and giving strange manifestations. They marked its emergence with great distrust in the proposals of Lord Trenchard for the reorganisation of the Metropolitan Police.

The war mentality was exhibited by Governments also in their trading policies.

In his concluding passages, Mr Walkden urged that the economic and other evils with which he had dealt were not natural and inevitable. Our civilisation was sinking not through  any visitation of pestilence or famine but through lack of courage, vision and the will to grapple with the problems arising from our very success in organisation of the production of material wealth.”

Europe 2014. The Politicians Still Do Not Get It.

After the 2014 European elections, where many people have voted for anyone except the mainstream parties, it seems that the politicians still do not get it, so perhaps we need to help them along.

In the United Kingdom the resounding winner of the EU election was UKIP, whose sole intention is to come out of the EU altogether and go back to trading with Europe but not be governed by them. And why does this option seem so attractive? Because it offers a semblance of control by the people of the UK over its destiny that it appears not to have today. So great is the significance of this victory that it has broken 100 years of a ‘Labservative’ stranglehold on the UK government.

But the mainstream parties appear to be obtuse in public as to their understanding of the  underlying causes. Here is what they have to say for themselves immediately after being defeated by UKIP.

The Conservatives, having been beaten for the first time ever in an election into third place, believe that the way forward is to offer the same thing they offered before the European election and negotiate a new treaty with the European Union and then offer an ‘in / out’ referendum in 2017.  David Cameron’s answer to the election result is therefore to ‘stick to the plan’. He fails to understand that the reason why he lost the election is that people of the UK care little for what Europe can do FOR them as much as they care about what they perceive that Europe is doing TO them.

At least that might be how it seems but as we know, there is a global debt crisis that was caused by those who politicians work for - no, not the electorate but banks, businesses and corporations. The electorate will be aware that the mainstream parties are chugging inexorably towards doing a Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) that allows corporations to sue governments (and by extension cost the taxpayer a fortune) for loss of earnings if those governments do not allow the likes of fracking and GMO foods to do business in our country. This is just a typical example of how much government fails to listen to the people. So telling us that they will have to listen now is risible. Simply put, the Conservatives are not going to listen to the people unless those people have money.

What every UK politician does not seem to get is that it’s not just the economy stupid, it’s the fact that government represents business, corporate interest and its own treasury coffers over the wishes of the people they want to elect them. And the problems to be dealth with are global not just in this country, so the problem inherent in our system is hardly a National one or even a European one.

Also, politicians still seem deny the power of the Internet, even after they had attempted to gag anyone who might inconveniently tell it how it is. Information is so much easier to harvest, bypassing the lies and propaganda of mainstream media, that the old government models of bluff and obfuscation are as outmoded as the Parliamentary system that is causing the very real problem for political ideology to grow strong and meaningful foundations to the little people.

Labours Ed Miliband defended the party’s second place, narrowly beating the Conservatives into third, by saying that the result shows deep discontent among the UK public with the way the country is run and the way our economy works, declaring that Labour can bring the change the country needs. Given the evidence already manifest in the global economy, he is  either trying to lie his way to a general election victory or he is greatly exaggerating his party’s capability or he is deluded about the global economic reality. Whichever option you choose, Mr Miliband and the Labour party are just as disingenuous as the Conservatives - hence you start to get the picture as to why an extreme party can beat main stream parties in elections.

The financial global reset, hardly announced in the mainstream media, began in April 2014 when Russia made a declaration that they intended to trade with other countries in currencies other than the US petrodollar. People may also be unaware that countries outside of the Western World have for some years built up gold reserves with the sole purpose of bringing back asset backed currencies, leaving the fiat currencies with insurmountable debt and money that is devalued severely on the world stage. By late 2015 the Western World will see the looming spectre of a global depression, that very few people are aware of or prepared for.

Now unless Ed Miliband has some kind of magic wand to repair the debt based monetary system, there is nothing he can do to change the UK economy unless he is prepared to cut loose from the International Monetary fund, cut all economic ties with both the US and Europe and repatriate the very large quantities of gold owned by the UK monarchy. Now that would be a 2015 election manifesto worth reading.

Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the Liberal Democrats, who was noticeably absent from the interview circuit, is perhaps reconsidering his position after the Lib Dem vote all but collapsed and calls for his resignation came quickly after.

Tim Farron, the Lib Dem party chair, said the result was as he had feared would happen but they were punished for standing up for the right reasons in support of the European Union. This is, of course, another delusional stance, making the Liberal Democrats no less disingenuous than the other two parties.

The Liberal Democrat record in coalition with the Conservative party has been one of hypocrisy and possibly naivety, as no doubt the Conservatives have taken every political opportunity to make them look bad without it looking like they did anything at all. The Lib Dems said, before forming the coalition, they would not raise tuition fees for University students and then went ahead and supported a law to raise them. It was a fatal mistake that cost support across the whole membership. Therefore the Liberal Democrat collapse had nothing to do with Europe; they were already dead.

And let us not forget the victos. UKIP are not without their own delusions. Nigel Farage believes the result of the European election is an indictment of the people’s wish to come out of Europe. But to believe this is to ignore the fact that also across Europe, many extreme right and left wing parties made significant gains throughout Europe, demonstrating the very real discontent that people all over Europe feel about the mainstream governments and their participation in allowing the economic austerity to be laid at their door, instead of the banks that caused it.

London Mayor, Boris Johnson, has called the swing of public opinion toward extreme parties as a peasant’s revolt and he is not far wrong in his historical assessment. One only has to look back at around 1848 to see a similar uprising that was then dubbed the ‘European Spring’.

In France the Front Nationale made sweeping gains and in Greece the far left party Syriza made sweeping gains, demonstrating how the electorate, unable to vote for ‘None Of The Above’ have chosen to vote for any party but the mainstream ones. Likewise across the other European countries, with the exception of the newly admitted nations, the move away from the mainstream political parties is plain to see. Without doubt it is the economic crisis, austerity, joblessness and failure to punish those responsible that is to blame for the discontent.

Angela Merkel of Germany called the results ‘regrettable’ but there is an uncomfortable elephant in the room that all mainstream politicians are trying so desperately hard to ignore.

No politician in the Western world is so stupid as to know nothing about how the economic landscape is undergoing a fundamental shift. No politician (worth voting for) is unaware that the global depression just over the hill is going to hit everyone really hard. And more significantly, no politician is about to turn on the banking system that created the problem and make them pay for it.

What most people see on the ground is that the country has no money and cannot afford to build houses, create more infrastructure and create jobs for the indigenous population. This translates into concerns about immigration, fears over ever rising rents, welfare benefit cuts, severe sanctions on the unemployed, lack of school places, rising energy costs, a rise in retirement age and, as the Labour party has coined it, a cost of living crisis. Unfortunately for Labour they have not the money, the ability or the power to make the changes they claim they can make at the 2015 general election. And just a few months after the May 2015 election, whoever wins the poison chalice will have to start being honest with the electorate and say it how it is.

The people of Europe are not fundamentally Euro skeptic. It would be more accurate to say that people are politician skeptic. Corruption in the corridors of power continue as they did before. The system is unchanged and the only beneficiaries are people with money. While this continues the 99% will remain discontented. I am sure that there are many good and decent conviction politicians. But until they managed to clean up the execrable system that promotes corruption, nepotism, cronyism, backhanders, corporate influence, tax havens, nest feathering and all round self interest, it is difficult to understand why they might feel aggrieved that we treat what they stand for with contempt.

The UK Housing Super Bubble and the Cyclic Index

Have you ever been in a situation where you started something but it gets out of hand and you know you can’t sustain it? Common sense tells you to pull the plug but for whatever reason you can’t see a way to do it. Imagine for example not celebrating Christmas; it is kind of unthinkable. It is a Jupiter factor, expanding but going too far - too much Jupiter and not enough Saturn.

But too much Jupiter is what the world faces in terms of its monetary crisis. Quantitative easing pumps more and more money into the economy with no real benefit in real terms.

Meanwhile, in the UK there is a housing super-bubble that plonked high investment capital into properties in London and the ripples of displacement among the resident population are sending house prices ever higher as demand among those who still have money cascades into the surrounding suburbs. In my part of London, property values have gone up by 25% compared to just two years ago.

Millions of ordinary people with average salaries are excluded from this house price bonanza. Ten percent deposits now in 2014 would have bought a house outright 25 years ago. Their only alternative is to rent and yet the rising cost of house prices have fueled a rent increase bubble every bit as unaffordable. Landlords are putting up rents and putting a great strain on working tenants and welfare recipients alike. People who have lived in London all their lives are at the point where they cannot afford to live there any longer.

To most people it would seem that there is somehow a sudden leap into prosperity for those with money; the green shoots of economic recovery is only for the rich, but it is more complex. The low interest rates throughout fiat currencies makes it unprofitable to stick money in a bank doing nothing. Financial institutions have tried to channel as much investors money as they can towards ever high risk debt derivatives. But investors want high return for low risk, so the safest returns outside of hard gold assets (real gold not paper gold) would appear to be in property.

So the housing bubble will continue to push prices up until, as with all bubbles, it stretches just that bit too far and bursts asunder. But when will that be?

The cyclic Index of Andre Barbault is not too clear on the matter. The year 2014 is calculated at -183 in terms of the overall outer planetary cycles, implying that this is not a good (progressive) year and yet the contradiction exists of all this money sloshing about to buy houses. The time that Barbault’s cycle suggests is the beginning of a much longer term downward trend is 2016. With this indicator alone what we see in the world today is confusing. It is true that too much Jupiter breeds overconfidence, therefore we have to treat the messages of economic recovery we hear with a large pinch of salt. So the housing bubble is not an indicator towards greater prosperity for all.

Theodore White noted that the mutable years would indicate the most changeable and unsettling of periods from around August 2015 (We are still in cardinal territory at this point). When I started to break down Barbault,s cyclic index into monthly changes there was indeed a significant downward thrust in September of 2015, generated mostly by the opposition of Jupiter and Neptune on 17 September 2015. The Moon’s North Node sits ominously on one degree of Libra (cardinal) and will move into Virgo (mutable) on 10 October 2015. It seems likely that the housing bubble, and more besides, will be over by then.

The housing super bubble may seem to some to be evidence of a contradiction of everything mentioned before about the cardinal grand cross and the significance it would herald. But knowing that the global currency reset started then, with moves by Russia, China and India to trade outside of the petro dollar, I believe that the ripples created will have a far deeper impact on the world than we realise now because it will take time for those ripples to be felt. We may not feel it in our lives this instant but it does not mean that what happened is any the less powerful.

However, the question remains unanswered by Barbault’s method about why it is that there would appear to be optimism generated by an apparent economic recovery in the UK today?

My thanks must go to a gentleman by the name of Kenneth Harmon who compelled me to look at the work of Robert Doolaard. Doolaard is a Dutch astrologer who received great interest in his work from the eminent Charles Harvey. Doolaard’s book ‘The Waves of War’
attracted much interest and plans were made to publish in English. Unfortunately Charles Harvey died before the plans to publish were finalised and Doolaard’s work, as far as I am aware, remains unpublished in English. However, the link above is written in English and makes for very interesting reading.

Doolaard’s cyclic method used all of Barbault’s outer planet calculations but then Doolard grouped them into three ‘waves’ rather than one; Uranus, Neptune and Pluto made up the ‘Uranus wave’, cycles including Saturn made up the ‘Saturn wave’ and cycles including Jupiter made up the ‘Jupiter wave’ (all cycles were calculate only once, so the Jupiter Saturn cycle for example was included in the Jupiter wave and not the Saturn wave).

I started a monthly calculation from 2014 and could see that the Uranus wave was in positive territory at least all the way to 2080 when Uranus next opposes Neptune. This understanding also illuminates us to the conclusion that the Uranus wave is not the dysfunctional energy that will cause the depression of 2015 and the hard decisions we must face well into the 2020s. The collective unconscious still moves forward in a progressive manner.

The Saturn wave was already in negative territory at 2014 and remains there until August of 2026. With this information I am convinced what we see here is how long austerity will affect the world and we will not see the true shoots of recovery until the summer of 2026. Unlike the interpersonal outer planets, Saturn is societal and it’s structural energy is the very thing being tested today. The Saturn Pluto cycle renews in 2020 when a new structure can be put together. Until then it is certain that the old structure must crumble, which is why the housing bubble is a symptom of the broken structure rather than a cure for it.

The Jupiter wave is faster and more volatile than the other two waves. In June 2013 the wave hit a purple patch of high plusses for a few months and then dipped to relatively low minus figures. Then at the beginning of 2014 there was a new surge of plus figures as the housing bubble gathered momentum. The fluctuation from plus to minus was caused by the Jupiter Pluto cycle running back and forth over the opposition point. But the negative territory from May is quite shallow and the wave returns to positive territory again in September 2014 and goes all the way through to September 2015 where it crashes suddenly with a thumping minus when Jupiter opposes Neptune (17 September 2015)

So Doolaard’s calculations indicate that September 2015 is when the whole system comes crashing down. The housing bubble will be just one of a number of dysfunctional and unsustainable entities that falls. The Jupiter wave does not return to positive territory until March 2022, which gives a strong indication as to when the real green shoots of recovery start to appear. This is a non negotiable set of conditions; the current system must fall and a new system must be built. The wheels for this were set in motion at least since the economic crash of 2008 and the global currency reset, the devaluation of the US dollar, the Euro, the pound and any other currency where quantitative easing was used are inevitabilities.

The chart of the 17 September 2015 places the Jupiter Neptune opposition at 7 degrees of Virgo Pisces. But the chart has Saturn at a critical degree, 29 of Scorpio and the North Node critical at 1 degree of Libra. If Jupiter is money and Neptune is the dissolving, I think we will know on this day what to look forward to.

In the UK 1801 chart, the Jupiter Neptune opposition falls in the 5th / 11th house axis. We will perhaps come to witness how much of ‘we’re all in this together’ we really were. One can, of course, expect to see wholesale fraud and deception revealed at this point. I imagine that the general populace will not be happy about how greatly they have been hoodwinked. Venus and Mars are also in the 11th house in a closing cycle reflecting an almost single minded opposition to the lies and the deceit.

There are a number of secondary progressed planets in the UK 1801 chart sitting in the 11th house: Sun, Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn in Leo with Mars on the 12th house cusp. The UK is going to have a lot of work to do when the soft and smelly stuff hits the whirly blades. One imagines that the UK government may attempt to invoke a ‘stiff upper lip’ approach - and the UK people are a fairly stoic bunch - but I can’t see us biting our tongues and just getting on with it. People must go to jail.

In conclusion, the UK housing bubble cannot last beyond September 2015. The chances are the collapse will be sudden and irreversible. Millions of people will lose their money and their homes. The sweetness of Jupiter is great until you have too much of it and it makes you sick. Many warnings will exist, even within banks, to try to ensure that you do not expand beyond your capacity to deal with the unforeseen. Only in this instance it is transparent for those who are receptive to astrological cycles.

The Cardinal Grand Cross in Action

The long heralded Cardinal Grand Cross has started to apply with Mars Retrograde within 5 degrees of aspect. By 22nd April the square will be in full bloom (For more information on the astrology, see ‘Jupiter Pluto Opposition April 2014: The Cardinal Grand Cross’).

But there is a lunar eclipse on 15 April that must also be acknowledged followed by a solar eclipse on 29 April while the cardinal grand cross is still in aspect!. Eclipses are known to hold significance by themselves but coupled with a grand cross in cardinal signs it is amplified greatly and adds to the longer term ramifications of the events that unfold over the next few weeks. Additionally Pluto stations, about to go retrograde back towards the world axis (stationing direct at 11 degrees of Capricorn on 23 Sept 2014).

So this article may be your last chance to get with the programme before the whole story blows and you find you did not prepare early enough. The import of the events that build over the next few days cannot be dismissed as insignificant or fleeting. There are global shifts for all to see - if you know where to look - and the world’s mainstream media silence is so quiet it is deafening. Unfortunately this kind of selective reporting is common, which makes all TV and newspaper reporting totally unreliable. Start doing internet searches on the global currency reset and consider the implications for where you live.

I shared an article on Facebook (where in the right circles you can also discover what is really going on in the world), courtesy of William Stickevers, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reforms of 2010 should have been passed by 10th April 2014. Apparently only the United States is dragging its heels; with the US congress failing to pass the legislation necessary. It is an attitude borne of the complacent notion that there are no powers higher that they have to answer to. It is an attitude that they may soon regret.

Three conditions make up the IMF reform:

First The US and Europe currently have too much dominance in the market, so Asia and South America will have a bigger say with Africa coming on board as its economy strengthens.

Second, the institute has to become much more flexible in the way it lends money to improve the fund’s ability to avert financial crisis.

Third the IMF wants to double the fund’s financing needs to avoid having to borrow from creditors itself.

What the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) have set up over the last few years is nothing short of saying that if the US does not want to play, they will play a different game of which the US is not involved. It is a game that removes the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency and will seriously devalue the Dollar in the process. Europe by default is also excluded.

And make no mistake, the change over is happening now and has been organized from behind the scenes for many years. The economic paradigm is about to undergo a seismic shift that will end the US Empire so to speak. China, the long hailed Empire elect is almost ready to assume the crown, with the full support of Russia.

Maybe it is not so surprising that the US Congress does not want to play this game. As Dominick Giammarino, on his website http://globalcurrencyreset.net says,
All fiat currencies are doomed http://globalcurrencyreset.net/what-is-the-global-currency-reset/ He also asserts,

“The coming Global Currency Reset (2014-2020) will be based, again, on the assets of the countries of the world.Example: Iraq has oil, South Africa has diamonds, China has gold, Vietnam has rice, the U.S. has, well, we have a lot of debt, so I guess we’re in trouble right?”
So when one considers which countries holding a fiat currency have artificially kept the value of their currency afloat via quantitative easing, you know which countries will see a devaluation reset of their currency within the world market. And while the UK (or indeed the Euro) is not mentioned in the quote above, it is the UKs financial sector that has been the country’s most tangible strength on the world stage, so what will happen when the world’s major banks, exposed to trillions of US dollars, count the cost of a sudden devaluation in their assets? Likewise the rest of Europe and the Euro is equally exposed but unprepared for the global reset.
Make no mistake, the cardinal grand cross, much heralded by Theodore White, marks the starting gun on a world shattering change that will have repercussions for generations.

As I mentioned before, the evidence of all this world shattering change is either absent in the media or distorted for the purposes of propaganda. For example, the Daily Telegraph reports that Russia’s announced attempt to abandon the US dollar is an impossible pursuit.

Jeremy Warner, assistant editor of the Daily Telegraph, expresses, in my view, a one dimensional perspective by standing on the sacred belief that the world economy can only possibly be worked through the US dollar. His flippant remark of ‘good luck with that one’  to President Putin is the kind of attitude that will catch many people out both financially and economically. It is this kind of hubris that will become part of the debris that has blighted the world system of money and trade for decades.

It is also the attitude of many governments, who cannot possibly deny that they did not know all this was going on and still maintain credibility, have not only attempted to keep the people of the Western World in some kind of controllable bubble by saying nothing about what amounts to one of the biggest world changes you can imagine this side of a World War. But one could argue that some, the UK government I can say is guilty of it, have gone so far as to lie by omission, assisted of course by the oligarchic strangle hold of the powers that be over TV and newspapers. Certainly at the time of writing this article there is nothing on the BBC news; in fact there is a dearth of information.

Who we trust to lead us should be called into question if this is the way we are treated. Is it that they think we can’t process the information or that we could not possibly deal with the changes?  Or is it more likely to be the case that, like every other question presented to the electorate – be it the Scottish Referendum on independence or a question of whether we should remain in or out of the European Union – that having misrepresented the truth in the first place, consecutive governments have attempted to promote a Western economic perspective as the only possible solution to the world and can still find no way back to how the reality of the situation? The Internet will continue to open the eyes of the general population and force uncomfortable reforms of political systems and accountability.

For example, there has been no mention whatsoever from the UK government as to why it - alongside 22 other countries - have already signed up to a swap system that bypasses the US dollar, SWIFT and BIS with China at the heart of the it. Why would governments do such a thing unless they knew what was coming? And if they know what is coming and how it will affect us, the people, why are they not telling us? You can bet your life that if your government is not telling you something it is because you won’t like what is going to happen.

To further add evidence to the likelihood of a global crisis, it was announced that Monsanto stocks plunged sending the NASDAQ into a spiral
Also, apart from biotech companies there are predictions that overvaluing of companies like Facebook adds to the likelihood of a stock market crash within the next 12 months.

Many sources have stated that 2014 is likely to see a stock market crash - and it is most likely at this point that a global currency reset will begin to feed into the collective unconscious.

Until then the smoke and mirrors continue, for example, as Crimea passes a new constitution that makes it inseperable from Russia http://rt.com/politics/crimea-constitution-parliament-inseparable-872/ the toothless sanctions imposed by US and the rest of Europe continue. With comments coming ahead of the meeting of the IMF and G20 finance ministers on Friday (10 April 2014) the German finance minister, Wolfgang Schaeuble said that even if it causes weakness in Europe we cannot accept someone just changing international rules and borders. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-26985252

The cardinal grand cross is now well and truly active.

I started to study some of the astrological events that led me, ultimately, to hone in on the cardinal grand cross of 2014 and all the consequences ending / beginning in a new Saturn / Pluto cycle in 2020. Way back in 2004 I wrote an article on the ‘Pluto ingress into Capricorn’ not knowing exactly where it would lead but knowing that if astrology was to work at all there would have to be some historical evidence to back it up (I am still in the process of assessing astrology as a practical tool). The last Pluto in Capricorn occurrence saw the US declaration of Independence in 1776, with the Americans pushing back the British and the British, denied revenue from the American colonies, having to rethink it’s financial future. Fast forward the description of this event to May 2004 and I wrote:

“So what do we learn from this? Pluto goes into Capricorn when a nation that has risen to greatness is on the back end of a war that has cost a fortune. So great is this cost that they seek to recover their losses in a grossly unfair and oppressive manner; So powerful is the need to obtain money that even companies become big and powerful enough to run other countries. The people suffer until the burden becomes oppressive. The control and manipulation becomes so much that they say enough is enough. They demand the unalienable rights of 'Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness'. Those who tried to impose their will on others were turned back.

Now which period of time am I talking about -1762 to 1778 or 2008 to 2024? Personally I think that the parallels are a little too scary to ignore.”

In the light of today’s current situation I could now revise some of the conjecture. The US petro dollar is all but doomed and the international dominance of the US is about to end. Not only that but the US faces its Pluto return in February 2022, marking the beginning of a new USA ready to emerge like a phoenix, perhaps wiser and more willing to play nicely.

From here I went on to discover the cyclic index introduced to me in 2002 as a work promoted by Andre Barbault that appeared to indicate a barometer for global trends, prompting me to write the article in 2008 The Barbault Scale  when the so-called ‘credit crunch’ in the UK occurred off the back of the sub-prime mortgage debacle in the US.

With the idea that the cyclic index might in fact be a way to predict future trends, I noted that, if this were truly the case, then 2016 - 2020 would be indicative of some changes equal to those seen in 20th century world war one and two (those periods being similar trends in the cyclic index). I wrote,

“Other revolutions in this decade may well include welfare systems, big institutions and old age pensions. Food is in short supply globally. All will come under severe pressure, with a need to reconsider seriously how any of the above systems have to evolve in order to survive. The world’s brightest people may have to bend their minds to developing new economic models. Poverty has not been eradicated under the current capitalist system because the current capitalist system does not reward fixed or low incomes; particularly if those incomes are hostages to the fortunes of the stock markets.”

Since I wrote this article in September 2008, in the UK I can demonstrate that the welfare system has come under attack by the government of the day in order to save money, big institutions / high street names have fallen; more so than usual, the watchword on the lips of every business echoes the Uranus / Pluto square demand for reform, food wars started years ago in the Philippines as the Uranus Pluto square got underway and only yesterday (April 10 2014) there were food rations in Venezuela. The new economic model is happening as we speak. Everyone in the UK will retire at 67 instead of 60 - 65 and this year the government announced that people will be able to claim their pension rather than be forced to buy an annuity from the company they saved with... and the decade is not even half over yet.

Mundane astrologer Theodore White, speaks of the ‘mutable years’ beginning September 2015 when the Lunar North Node enters the mutable sign of Virgo, thus placing the focus on change and uncertainty. Saturn will also have moved into the mutable sign of Sagittarius with Jupiter firmly established in Virgo. The North Node remains in Virgo until April 2017.

How we come out at the other end of this period is the subject of another article. Suffice it to say for the purpose of this article it is important to know that these mutable middle years lie just ahead of us and everything mundane astrologers have talked about regarding the cyclic index and the cardinal grand cross is being demonstrated as something more than mere speculation or conjecture. As I said in my next article ‘The Barbault Warnings’ (April 2009)

At some point in the future we will all have to pay for the money we spend today. I believe that it is right to repair the world financial system, even though I heartily disagree with the system itself. Having some system, however, is better than no system at all. In the UK we will host the Olympic Games in 2012 (a nice plus figure this year) but after the euphoria of the games, then the reality of the consequences we must face will bring us all down to earth. It sounds almost biblical but I believe we will face 7 years of hardship from 2014 – 2020. The worst of those years is 2017 with a figure of -496; the only times in the 20th century that there have been years of -496 and worse are 1915 and 1938 to 1941. And it is a sustained seven-year string of minus figures meaning that if there is any sign the recession is getting better by 2010, as I believe it will, it is merely the lull before the storm. I hope this gives you some sort of proportion as to what I believe we may be facing.”

And again in May 2012 I went further in my article Barbault: The Prediction Revealed by saying,

So before I offer you the evidence supported by the planetary cycles that pertain to future events, I wish to make it plain from the start that my findings support the notion that there will be a global economic depression from 2016 (possibly up to a year earlier) to 2020. It is my belief that because the causes have already happened we are merely going to witness the effects. But it will not be pleasant and I do not rule out the possible spin offs of hostility, poverty and destitution. No one will come out of it unscathed. I do not see this as a pleasant prediction but a very important one.”

Up to this point I, like many astrologers, had worked almost independently. Then through the wonders of the Internet I found similar trains of thought with Theodore White and WIlliam Stickevers, both eminent and well respected mundane astrologers. But the fact remains that we all arrived at similar conclusions independent of the other, which in my opinion validates the scientific need for verification and independent observation.

Since then I have had the privilege to be part of a group of mundane astrologers working towards a common cause, with truth at the heart of the intention to reveal how far we can interpret cause and effect. The year 2020 is the ending of the current 33-year Saturn / Pluto cycle, which is why I have yet to look beyond that period. Indeed there is still much to look at before predictions for the new cycle starting 2020 will make sense.

There has been a lot of work in preparation before the cardinal grand cross, most of which for me was to understand the cyclic index. But now we are here and we can see that the global currency reset is the central theme that must affect everyone in the world, it is like reaching the top of a hill and only now can we see what lies on the other side. The rest of this cycle will be devoted to how we get there. The dangers are many. Uncertainty will exist at every turn. The Wheel of Fortune is turning and those at the top are about to come crashing down. We cannot expect the old order to go peacefully and we cannot rely on our governments to worry less about the country and more about the people; stupid but true.
We now have to focus on how to prepare for the middle mutable years in the full knowledge that these uncertain times lie ahead. We can expect money to devalue, especially where quantitative easing has been used to bolster the economy. We can therefore also expect the initial dangers of inflation and shortages of food. Some people in the UK have already started thinking about the local production of produce to offset the coming storms. For the moment we must consider seriously the basics of survival. If the transition of changes also include the shortage of gas as a means for warmth, we have but a short time to get ready - perhaps one more winter before energy becomes rare or is too expensive.
“There will be no World War III but just as war is raging in many countries right now, so many more must inevitably rise up and join the clamour for old powers to make way for fair and sustainable reform. Any who hold onto power by wealth or by oppression can and will be challenged strongly in order to create a better way of life. In some cases that opposition may manifest itself in physical conflict.”
Be under no illusion that the transition is going to be pretty or well ordered. For the moment it might seem that everything I have said here is a storm in a teacup; there are no world shattering changes in evidence and the world carries on as it did last week and the week before. The last of the seven Uranus / Pluto squares is in March 2015, which implies that the reforms by then will be all but prepared and all one then has to do is carry them out. But before then the fifth Uranus / Pluto square hits on 21 April 2014 and the sixth on 15 December 2014. So there is still more to come this year and I expect those events will come suddenly. As William Stickevers has said so many times of 2014 in his articles ‘BOOM’.
So here we are at the cardinal grand cross and if you have read this far, you cannot say that you have not been warned. Watch carefully what happens when the stock market crashes. That, in my opinion, will be when the rug is pulled from the feet of the Western world.

Lunation 29 April 2014 and Grand Trine

I am writing this article as of 25 March 2014, meaning that we are only a few weeks until the Cardinal Grand Cross hits it’s greatest moment of tension. The Jupiter Pluto opposition with Uranus in T square has been discussed in previous posts and it will only take Mars, now just three weeks from forming the Cardinal Grand Cross to ramp up global tension to a height we have yet to witness.

The Cardinal Grand Cross is also discussed in previous posts, so I am not going to duplicate the same information here but suffice it to say the global events that will ultimately expose what no longer works and has no alternative but to change, is the battle ground on which a new world order will be fought; this includes (and the list is not exhaustive) world currencies, trade, corporate power, governments and international relations. In the last years since 2008 we have seen systems start to crumble, like the sub prime mortgage generating the global recession, then the Arab Spring leading to civil unrest in many countries and recently the annexation of Crimea where no solution is remotely possible without conflict.

The event of global reform was predicted and published by a few mundane astrologers but largely ignored. I expect the predictions to come over the next six years as we witness the painful transition into a new societal structure to be ignored also, but this astrologer assures you it will come regardless. Some evidence of what was predicted now lies behind us. What is to come is also predicted and may help those prepared to listen and act while the opportunity to prepare for what must come remains.

We have seen the world structures and regimes crumble in six short years What we have not seen yet is how the world tends to change for the better. And we will not see it in 2014 either but the Cardinal Grand Cross will lay bare the problems and why in finding the solution it is impossible to keep the status quo as it is. Something / someone / people among the ‘haves’ have got to share or people among the ‘have nots’ will die (in areas of conflict will continue to die) by the thousands. ....And what is notable is that ‘we the people’ will act within the collective unconscious as judges of those with predatory and ruthless intentions or those who are morally barren and self serving. So those who do not become part of the solution will be consigned to the rubbish heap of history.

As the group ‘Anonymous’ state; ‘We do not forgive. We do not forget.’

The Cardinal Grand Cross manifests as Mars applies as early as 11 April 2014 but will reach it’s greatest intensity at the full moon and total lunar eclipse of 15 April 2014. I expect the closing of this lunar cycle to be incredibly intense, as the Cardinal Grand Cross remains strong until Mars pulls out of reach to Jupiter on 4 May 2014.

So when the lunation of 29 April appears at 8.51 of Taurus, the Cardinal Grand Cross will still apply. Every planet is in aspect to something but the most prominent of these aside from the Grand Cross is a Sun / Moon semi square to Venus and a Grand Cross in water between Jupiter, Saturn and Chiron.

The semi square shows the tensions between powers and which values they aspire to promote. Where the lunation is inconjunct to Mars in Libra, Venus is inconjunct to the North Node that is also in Libra. Both views postulate the sentiment of fairness but from alternate perspectives. In some ways this typifies the problems faced within the Cardinal Grand Cross where neither position has a monopoly or a consensus of what is right or wrong. When this lunation begins, people will begin to see how messy the situation becomes.

Emotions are set to run high. Opposing sides will be seeking change but only from their opponent. Where the Cardinal Grand Cross runs for 24 days, the Grand Water Trine will run for 51 days; starting 26 April 2014 and ending 16 June 2014. It is enough time for everyone to get thoroughly bogged down into a war of attrition with no appreciable forward progress remotely possible; watch out for the brief grand sextile on 9 May 2014 but it is fleeting and whatever opportunity is presented will be passed over.

The Grand Water Trine is made up of Jupiter, Saturn and Chiron. The relationship between Jupiter and Saturn, the societal planets are well document but how Chiron impacts on society is perhaps a good opportunity to see how strongly Chiron influences societal behaviour and in what way.

Chiron, according to mythology, received a wound from Hercules that could never heal. In the world today there are a number of such wounds; one of the most obvious being the almost 100 year conflict that is Israel and Palestine. Another is the growing chasm between the haves and the have nots. Money, that has no real value since it is largely conjured out of thin air by banks, influences political will, ideology and stifles technological / medical / social advancement where profit is either threatened or absent.

Society has generally tried to work within the structure set out for it by its leaders. And yet we have to consider why today our prisons are bursting at the seems, millions live a poor existence through lack of money or employment and even in this so called enlightened age there are nations ill at ease with each other. In short, it is blatantly obvious that the current system does not work.

The root cause of the current ‘wound’ is being pointed squarely at money; whether this be through the petrodollar, investment banks, fractional reserve banking, usury or simply the way the capitalist system is designed to syphon all the money from the poor to the rich. Politicians, bought and paid for by the very corporations who want to see their self interest continue, become part of the problem because they do not serve the people who elected them. This makes the entire system rotten to the core.

So expect Chiron to putrefy the rotting flesh on the bones of a dying societal system, amplifying the wound until it is too big to miss. Jupiter still opposes Pluto until 26 May 2014 and Jupiter is the first to leave the Cardinal Grand Cross, meaning that the seeds of mistrust and separation are sown, ever wider as individual nations take their usual pointless patriotic perspective, where a global solution is the only thing that can work.

Chiron is traveling through the sign of Pisces, highlighting all the inherent problems with large corporations, government departments, the welfare system, hospitals, prisons, drugs, oil and anything to do with an oppressor putting down the underdog. There is lots to choose from here as all examples are very much live and active at present.

A Grand Trine is basically a rut from which there can be no escape until some friction is applied. It is therefore interesting to note that the Grand Trine will manifest while the Cardinal Grand Cross still applies. It means that there is an answer that is palatable but it would mean getting outside one’s comfort zone, stop rolling out the standard responses, making a few compromises and generally accepting the obvious demise of the present status quo. The have nots are willing to do this already because they have nothing left to lose, so no prizes for guessing who doesn’t want to play ball.

By the same token I expect an element of the inevitable protests that the warmth of spring generates to become violent, even though a majority of protesters wish to deny violent methods. The difference will be that the violent protesters are as much outmoded and outdated as the systems they protest against. The non violent protesters are those who understand that change cannot effected successfully by force of fist but by force of will. So the violent protesters, playing into the hands of the establishment will change nothing; if anything it will make it that much harder for non violent protesters to use marching as a tool of mass expression. The solar eclipse tied to this lunation suggests a wasting of energy; violent protest fits the bill quite nicely.

I expect a contagion of finger pointing with much mud slinging and little progress. The economic impact on society will be gradual but profound because whatever happens during this time will be entrenched, locked down and designed for self protection. By the time the Grand Water Trine ends there will be much bad blood with the likelihood of trade agreements in tatters where disagreements on a political level spill over into economic and social ties. In fact I would not be at all surprised to see vigilante hits on the shops of other nations where hatred foments in the stench of a corrupt system that cannot be changed without global cooperation.

The 29 April lunation occurs in the 8th house of the UK 1801 chart, implying an ongoing interest in the values of others (and probably sticking one’s nose in with Mercury close by and conjunct Natal Mars). It is perhaps a safe place for the government to be while the it tries desperately to avoid its own domestic position with Saturn running rampant through the UKs second house of personal values / needs / resources; a position it will have to address directly when transiting Saturn turns direct and squares natal Saturn on 25 October 2014, insisting that the UK austerity is still the only way forward but all evidence suggests to the contrary; and even implies harsher times to come.

Venus rides the sixth house just past an inconjunct with Natal Saturn (eleventh house). Perhaps the evidence at this point will crush forever the Conservative Party’s mantra that we are ‘all in this together’. We will see perhaps more strikes for money, particularly from large government institutions, which will create more disruption to society at large.

The Grand Water Trine places Jupiter (Cancer) in the UK tenth house - still very active in the Grand Cross, Saturn (Scorpio) in the second house and Chiron (Pisces) in the sixth house. The leaders of the United Kingdom have always kept one eye on the ‘standing’ of the UK on the world stage. And yet as empires rise and fall, so must even the most influential of countries take turns to reach the heights of power.

Chiron in the sixth house implies an ailing workforce, army and infrastructure. So although the focus of the UK will be predominantly outside of itself, one might argue that the country is starting to develop a limp and would do well to sort out one’s own house before criticising another. A civilsed country is measure by how it treats the poor and disadvantaged. In an effort to save money and generate more income, the government has punished the poor for the sins of the rich while rewarding the rich in the hope of making money. People with disabilities have committed suicide as a direct result of government policy. Expect more of the same while these policies continue.

Chiron will travel through the sixth house until 2020 when the new conjunctions with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto attempts to drive through a new world order. So this present government’s perspective of welfare cheats, shirkers and failing feckless families is symbolised by Chiron in the sixth but it is an unhelpful insight, as its remedy is to use more and greater draconian measures to force people off benefits and into work, even if there is no work or employers willing to take them on. Solar Arc Pluto is in conjunction with Natal Uranus in the twelfth house. Reform of large institutions has been both ideological and experimental and with no particular mandate from the people. Hence the likelihood is that many current laws and policies implemented by this government will be repealed by the next.

Jupiter and Saturn trine exact on 24 May 2014 just a few days before the Gemini lunation. The Moon / Uranus conjunction at this event implies how easy it might be to break away from previously esteemed connections. The Grand Water Trine does appear to symbolise a race to the bottom and no one is likely to come out the other end untainted.

Governments, I hope, will keep a cool head and should try not to do anything rash or make empty threats. Time may need to pass before meaningful talks and negotiations can bear fruit. Avoiding unnecessary conflict would be a great start.
